VLiva End User License Agreement

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) explains the license terms for the VLiva desktop software, including demo builds, test builds, release builds, Steam builds, plugins, documentation, and related materials distributed by or for VLiva.

The website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are separate documents:

  • Terms of Use: https://vliva.tamkungz.me/terms-of-use
  • Privacy Policy: https://vliva.tamkungz.me/privacy-policy

By downloading, installing, launching, copying, or using VLiva, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

Product and Publisher

VLiva is a Linux-native VTubing application for loading, rendering, tracking, and controlling user-provided Live2D models.

Publisher / developer: TamKungZ_ / Kitthiwat Phimpromma

Contact: vliva@tamkungz.me

VLiva is independently developed. It is not an official Live2D Inc. product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Live2D Inc.

License Grant

VLiva is proprietary, closed-source software unless a separate written notice says otherwise.

Subject to this EULA, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use VLiva for lawful personal, creative, streaming, recording, testing, and content-production purposes.

This EULA gives you permission to use the software. It does not sell or transfer ownership of VLiva, its source code, branding, application assets, documentation, or third-party components.

Demo Builds and Paid Builds

VLiva may be released as a free demo, limited test build, paid full version, Steam build, direct download, or another release format.

Demo and test builds are provided for evaluation and feedback. They may include limitations such as time limits, watermarks, feature restrictions, disabled export or commercial-use features, reduced support, or other technical limits.

The full version may require a one-time purchase or another purchase model stated at the point of sale. Pricing, taxes, refunds, regional availability, and store rules may depend on the platform where you obtain the software.

You may not bypass payment, demo restrictions, license checks, platform rules, watermark systems, time limits, or other technical limitations.

Permitted Use

You may use VLiva to:

  • load and render Live2D models that you are allowed to use
  • control avatars using webcam tracking and local runtime features
  • stream, record, or produce content with your own authorized models and assets
  • configure local settings, model profiles, tracking weights, background settings, plugins, UDP output, and OBS capture workflows
  • use documentation and examples to build compatible plugins or integrations, subject to this EULA and third-party licenses

User Models, Assets, and Content

You are responsible for all models, textures, motions, expressions, sounds, overlays, plugins, scripts, characters, artwork, recordings, streams, and other content you use with VLiva.

VLiva does not include or grant rights to third-party Live2D models or character assets unless explicitly stated for a specific bundled asset.

Before using an asset, confirm that you have the required rights for your intended use, including streaming, monetization, commercial use, redistribution, public performance, agency work, or promotional use.

You keep ownership of your own original content. By using VLiva, you do not transfer ownership of your models or creative output to the developer.

Commercial Streaming and Business Use

You may use VLiva for monetized streaming or content production if your use complies with this EULA, the licenses for your models and assets, Live2D requirements, platform rules, and applicable law.

If you use VLiva for agency work, studio operations, employee or contractor workflows, training programs, installations for multiple users, sublicensing, redistribution, bundled services, or other business use beyond normal individual creator use, contact the developer for written permission or a business arrangement if required.

You are responsible for determining whether your use triggers additional licensing obligations from Live2D Inc., model creators, platform operators, or other rights holders.

Live2D Cubism SDK Required Statement

This application contains Live2D Cubism SDK developed by Live2D Inc. of which the copyrights are held by Live2D Inc.

If this application is utilized as a primary element of a business* and its annual sales made directly or indirectly by this application or content produced by this application exceed 20 million JPY, you shall be obliged to execute Publication License Agreement with Live2D Inc. and pay required license fee.

You shall also be obliged to immediately notify Live2D Inc. when the annual sales exceed 20 million JPY.

Any violation of these obligations means the utilization of Live2D Cubism SDK beyond the scope permitted by Live2D Inc. with regard to this application and the infringement of intellectual property rights of Live2D Inc., and you may receive legal claims from Live2D Inc.

  • “Utilizing this application as a primary element of a business” includes but is not limited to operating a VTuber streaming business. It does not include streaming video contents for sales promotion.

If another Live2D Publication License Agreement is executed between the user of the Derivative Work and Live2D Inc. in accordance with the statement above, the sales which Licensee receives from such user may be deducted from the calculation of License Fee.

Third-Party Components

VLiva includes, uses, or can integrate with third-party software and services. These components remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

Examples may include:

  • Live2D Cubism Native SDK and Cubism Core
  • Qt 6
  • OpenCV
  • MediaPipe Face Mesh / Face Landmarker
  • GLEW
  • stb_image
  • OpenGL and graphics-driver components
  • OBS/libobs integration for optional capture plugins
  • Steamworks SDK for Steam builds
  • Linux runtime, system libraries, display server components, and driver components

This EULA does not replace or override any third-party license. If a third-party license gives you rights directly from that third party, this EULA does not remove those rights.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, host, or make VLiva available to others except as expressly allowed
  • publish modified builds or unofficial builds as if they are official VLiva releases
  • remove copyright, trademark, license, attribution, Live2D, or third-party notices
  • bypass payment, demo limits, access controls, watermark systems, license checks, or platform restrictions
  • use VLiva to infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, or contractual rights
  • use VLiva to distribute malware, collect data without consent, harass others, impersonate others, or violate platform rules
  • use reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly except where applicable law expressly permits it and only to the extent that such law cannot be waived
  • use the software in a way that violates Live2D Inc. licensing requirements or the licenses for user-provided models and assets

Plugins, Scripts, and Integrations

VLiva may support plugins, local shared libraries, external tools, UDP output, OBS capture, shared-memory frame transport, or other integrations.

Plugins and integrations may affect stability, privacy, performance, security, tracking output, streaming output, or compatibility. Only install plugins and integrations from sources you trust.

The developer is not responsible for third-party plugins, user-created scripts, unofficial integrations, or damage caused by untrusted code.

OBS, UDP, and Streaming Output

OBS capture, transparent output, UDP tracking output, and similar features are provided to help creator workflows.

You are responsible for testing your scene setup before streaming or recording. The developer is not responsible for accidental disclosure of private windows, camera feeds, audio, files, model assets, or personal information during a stream or recording.

Steam and Store Platforms

If VLiva is distributed through Steam or another store, that platform may apply its own terms for accounts, purchases, refunds, updates, achievements, cloud features, crash reports, reviews, community features, and payments.

Store rules and this EULA both apply. If a store requires a different process for refunds, account issues, or payment disputes, use that store’s process.

Updates and Availability

VLiva may be updated, modified, delayed, discontinued, or made unavailable at any time.

Updates may add, remove, rename, or change features. Compatibility with specific Linux distributions, graphics drivers, OBS versions, Steam runtime versions, plugins, models, or devices is not guaranteed.

Support

Support may be provided through email, documentation, issue trackers, social channels, or store/community channels. Support availability is not guaranteed unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

When requesting support, do not send private models, personal documents, passwords, access tokens, payment information, or sensitive files unless they are necessary and you understand the risk.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how website and software information is handled: https://vliva.tamkungz.me/privacy-policy

Termination

This EULA remains in effect until terminated.

Your license may terminate automatically if you materially violate this EULA, violate third-party license requirements, circumvent payment or demo restrictions, redistribute unauthorized copies, or use VLiva for unlawful activity.

After termination, you must stop using VLiva and remove unauthorized copies under your control.

No Warranty

VLiva is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer makes no warranties regarding reliability, compatibility, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, tracking accuracy, streaming suitability, or compatibility with your hardware, drivers, models, plugins, or platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, including lost revenue, lost data, corrupted files, interrupted streams, account issues, software conflicts, plugin issues, hardware or driver issues, or claims related to user-provided content.

Changes to This EULA

This EULA may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision.

Continued use of VLiva after updated terms are published means you accept the updated EULA.
